Yesterday, 4 of our leaders from our Battalion DofE Training Team were honoured to be invited to join in representing the Boys’ Brigade at a DofE Gold Award Celebration event at Buckingham Palace. The event celebrated Gold Award achievers, but also, in the DofE’s 70th Anniversary year, recognised and thanked the many adults and leaders who make it all happen. With over 200 years of involvement with the DofE between them, our “fab four”, along with their fellow members of our Training Team, continue to dedicate themselves to helping young people develop and thrive through their work with the Boys’ Brigade and the DofE. We had a great turnout of 30 young people at our annual Rifle Shooting competition this week at the National Small-bore Rifle Association Centre at Aldersley. It made for a really competitive event, with some excellent scoring on show. Congratulations to Isaac and Karson who were our winners in the Senior and Company age groups respectively, and also to Simeon and Titus who took the runners up positions. We had lots of entries into the Battalion Art Competition this year. The theme was "My favourite BB activity" for the Anchors and Juniors, and "Design a BB logo" for the Company and Seniors.![]()

We had a great turnout at our annual Battalion Bible Quiz this morning at Lanesfield Methodist Church. Young people from 1st Cheslyn Hay Boys’ Brigade, 1st Telford, 3rd West Bromwich Boys Brigade, 9th Wolverhampton, The Boys’ Brigade 10th Wolverhampton Company and 19th Wolverhampton represented their Companies with some great knowledge on display. Our winners this year in all 3 age groups were the teams from 3rd West Bromwich who all retained their titles from last year.
